Who we are

Hi! My name is Joel and I am the founder, owner and chief doer at Edge Property Improvements.

I am also a qualified carpenter and qualified plasterer having completed my first qualification over 20 years ago, with my father who was a genius at his craft. In fact, even though he is retired a few years ago, he was lured back by the training and assessment authorities to help in this area and to also shape the future of the industry.

So in short, I was trained by the very best. I say the best because it wasn't just about the craft. Dad was very customer-focussed. And took tremendous pride in his work, making sure that he treated other peoples homes, as if it were our own home. 

And over 20 years later, I still carry that ethos with me to the project I take on.

The work we do

Yikes, I am not sure even where to start with this. In summary though we complete all sorts of property maintenance, farm maintenance, and home maintenance and renovation projects. In some instances I have worked on net new builds, other times I've worked on full renovation projects. And other times it has been much smaller projects like fixing a kicker board, or a hole in the wall, or creating a new wall, fixing eaves, repairing balustrades, creating new stock yards, building pergolas. The list really is endless. Put it this way, of there is likely to be wood or plaster involved, then we do it. 

But we don't stop there as we do have qualified tradespeople we work with across the region: Electricians, Plumbers, Painters etc. So we can manage end to end projects and deal with sorting out all the trades required for the job for you.

Where we work

We are based in South Gippsland, in between Leongatha and Warragul, and service this whole region. So yes we travel to Wonthaggi, Traralgon, Churchill, Drouin, Foster, Inverloch, Venus Bay, Loch, Korumburra etc. But if your region isn't mentioned still reach out to us, as we appreciate that qualified tradespeople can be hard to come by in Gippsland so where possible we make an effort to try and service as many towns as possible.
